OEM Front end replacement

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

So my TB has just over 90,000 miles on it. I had noticed recently my bushings were getting very worn. I asked guy at local shop about it cause I was really busy at work at the time. He quoted me $1400 seemed high to me to replace bushings. I didnt have the money at the time so let it go and been taking it easy on it. I asked again while there for oil change and was told the bushings were not servicable and I had to replace the entire control arm(S). So instead of paying him I have decided to do this myself. Any suggestions on how I should go there are plenty of OEM replacement parts out there? Or is there a better aftermarket alternative?

$1400 would get you control arms and a set of new coilovers if you did the work yourself.

I just replaced Upper, and lower control arms, upper ball joint, sway bar links and frame mount bushings, and it came out to under $600 from rock auto.

I did a quick thread about it over on gmtnation. http://gmtnation.com/f77/rebuilding-fro ... nsion-896/

It's a pretty lengthy process to replace just the bushings but you can save some money. If you want to replace the arms and the brackets that contain the bushings it's pretty quick and straight forward.

All my threads seem to end up being about doing things the hardest way possible.
