Your being a bit of a prick aren't you?

This thread is one of the most impressive threads I've seen so far. Not only is he reaching out to the right group of people but this forum has stepped up seeing he has a real desire to do things right. I wish I had taken the time to slow down and ask some questions on some of my previous projects.

This thread should continue strong until he's learned enough from the vast experience on this site to do anything he decides to do.

Keep going. Rant over.

I agree with the above. Just do it...the instructions are easy to follow. Its not hard to do at ALL! Take your time. If you get stuck, search it out. If you can't find the answer then ask. You will be fine. If your parents kick you out...then do more mods to it, like a roof top tent to live in. A swing out rear bumper with a fold down stove. Then hook up a shower to the rear hatch. All these things have actually been done before. Just get it done man!

He had a 70 something camaro and he did do some stuff to it. I remember he saying that he put headers on it.

Yea I agree I DO NOT want to be one of them.

Here is where I'm stuck. Lets say this: I have 500 bucks, I decide to spend 200 on tools, pocket the rest. On the other hand I buy the BJs and TRs have the shop install the BJ, TR for a total of 400. I dont see how I'm getting ahead.

Thats where its hard for me to decide. Its hard for me to try and explain this way vs have a conversation.

The title of this thread should be changed to "Cable810s cheerleading thread, you can do it RA RA RA"

Because you buy the damned tools once and can replace tens of thousands of dollars worth of parts with those tools. Most of those tools will last your lifetime. I don't understand how anyone can't see this. You're out time, that's it.
Or lets put it this way. Lets say you have a pretty decent job, you make $20 and hour. The mechanic makes $80 an hour. You work 4 hours to pay him for one hour of his time and you're still paying for the part. A lot of jobs on this truck will take you an hour or two at most.

no matter how you look at it you come out ahead.

Maybe you should stick to GMTnation or Trailvoy. I really don't think this is the forum for you.

Maybe even before the lift you should just build up your tool stock and do some wheeling as is..
