? FRONT LIFT TO MATE WITH Z71 SPRINGS

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

by Trail X » Fri Feb 17, 2012 11:27 am

You're doing the lift in the front only?

When did he start doing that? Last time I contacted him about just getting the front lift he said he couldnt split them up.

I have a set of just the fronts available from the 2.5 lift. I'll even sign them so we can pass them on lol.

I'd be really happy if he was. I'd love just the front of the new 3" lift as I have some Z71 springs just sitting in my garage, and without the newer lift I'll be at a pretty aggressive rake again.

That's surprising. Even BDS sells a front-only lift.

You should install the springs and try them out. I run the Z71s all of the time and my ride is actually pretty good. YMMV

I'm pretty sure the 3 inch lift with just Z71 springs will give you negative rake.

Not sure you meant me or the OP, but I have 2.5" right now and the truck is nice and level. I'd like to put on the Z71's Ive had for a few months and upgrade my front to the 3" new design. I'll reach out to Mark again and see if he's offering them seperate at this time or not.

Sorry for the hijack OP!

Mark offered to sell me any parts I need. Anyways I got everything installed today.

2008 Trailblazer LT 4WD turned exactly 30,000 miles today 2/17/12

Front
2.5" MarkMC lift
Springs - Stock
Strut - Stock

Rear
2" MarkMC spacer
Springs stock
BDS 55619 shocks w/black boots

Measurements w/ OEM Michelin 245/65-17

Front wheel well center 35.25" AG before lift 33"
Rear wheel well center 36.25" AG before lift 34"

Followed by full wheel alignment and I also discovered a bad tie rod end (drivers side) during the lift kit install so we replaced that also

LOOKS AND DRIVES AWESOME!!!! PICS TO COME

I'm just piggybacking this thread. I installed the Z71's on mine last night......and........I HATE THEM, I like the way it sits but cant stand the way it rides. The truck rides like a 1970's plow-truck now. Looks like I'll be spending a morning this wknd re-installing the stock springs again.

Carry something more than air in your cargo area.

What shocks do you have?

Any other rear spacers?

:Iagree: Maybe your topping your shock out!?!.. I love the ride of the Z71, a bit firmer, but nothing too bad... Unless your used to a mid 70's caddie...
