If you're really worried, put it in 2WD, get under your vehicle, and spin it by hand. If you cannot turn it by hand, then something may be binding. However I seriously doubt that it is why you are getting 9 mpg. More likely, it's cold, and you're driving short distances?
I will try that in the morning. was thinking maybe there was a connection between my shake and the bad mpg. I go south every thursday its 37 miles each way 34 of it non stop highway and the round trip burns half a tank of gas, changes both o2s and the exhaust cam actuator last week and not really any change.
