I tried hard to induce shock fade with a few high speed runs over ten miles of desert washboards, and my gas BDS were fine. But to keep from shaking a hundred fasteners loose from the vehicle, I was also aired down, so the high frequency vibrations were mostly being absorbed by the tires and turned into heat there instead of in the shocks. So perhaps the definitive trail that needs remote reservoirs, if there are any and those shocks are functional and not just for the mall, just isn't suitable for the platform. I think they were developed for desert prerunners - high speed trail-explorers who do a lots of jumps and whoopsies. We don't have the suspension travel for that, and we're a bit (like a factor of two) too heavy.
