Has anyone had the bushings wear out on their panhard bar? I'm able to grab my panhard bar and shake it by hand, causing a noticeable rattle. Its even worse when driving and going over bumps with the rear wheels.
I'm guessing its time to replace the bar. OEM replacements start at $60... the adjustables I've seen start at $125. Who is running an adjustable? Is it worth it? I've got over 100k on my stock... so if I get another stock that last just as long, I'd be ok with it. I've not little to no misalignment of the rear axle with the lift... haven't really measured with the plumb bob, though.
So I just tried removing the bolt so I can put some shims in... going to need some PB blaster as the bolt only turned about 1/2 turn, even with impact gun. So I decided to tighten it back up. With the gun, it managed to tighten about 3/4 turn. There is no noticeable rattle when moving by hand now. Will keep an eye on it. I know the bushing is bad.
Could be the end links... I know they are shot to shit too. I'd test by disconnecting one of them, but I already had to hack off the front links. Having to hack off a rear link would get me swaybar-less front and rear. I'd rather have at least 1 bar hooked up.
EDIT: I just crawled under the truck. I put my hand on the panhard bar and kicked the frame... I felt the bar rattle consistent with the noise made. The issue is most definitely the panhard bar.
I would get the adjustable. It might most a little more, but the poly bushing will last much longer. I also believe the have zerk fittings, allowing you to extend the life farther still..
I haven't replaced the bar yet, but it is on the list. I plan on going with an adjustable when I do. Quick Note... Suicide Doors no longer makes the panhard bar for our platform.

Well considering its "gently used" nature... I'd offer you $20.31 +tax. (i included a discount for myself, hope you dont mind)

Not sure where to get a replacement part cause autozone says they don't sell rear suspension components for our platform. So I will likely go with the the purple massive upon fundage.
