Finally Lifted

Finally got my TB lifted today. Its an amazing difference in driving and looks. Guys at the off road shop I go to said they didnt like Trailblazers at all till now that they seen mine lifted. Marks New lift, 87 front springs, Z71 rear springs, bilsteins up front and BDS in rear. Here are some pics. Ill do a real build thread later this weekend

About 6 1/2" difference in front! I love it. The tires are just temporary 265/75/16's I bought used to get me rolling with lift. Hoping to sell my other rims and tires I had on it quick to help purchase some 33's. I did have to do a little cutting even after removing mud flaps. Not much but did rub at full turn.

Thanks. It was alot more difference then I expected suspension lift only. Pics dont do these things justice as to the difference once lifted all the way

The difference between 87s and 88s is pretty small. Yours will look similar.

Believe me I didnt like paying for it to be done. But since my neck surgery I still cant do much straining. I did some small wrenching and hurt myself so definitely wasnt ready to be doing this kind of wrenching. With what I ended up paying I kinda wish I would have hurt myself.

I plan on Flipping UCA as soon as I can. So that will be my personal test on how much ive healed.

LOL yeah they were on it when I got it. They are "ram air" style twin scoops. Makes it look different and not as plain as the other hundreds running around. I know you all dont like them but makes it my truck, right?

I have not seen one lifted TB around my area yet, just the fact that I've got a half assed lift on it I have already had so many questions.

Dude from a car dealership was drooling over it, and I dont even have decent tires yet.

Ive tossed the idea around of taking them off but, like I said, it makes it a little different then all the others. Alot of people comment on them that they like the look they give it. Ive already noticed since my lift, it is getting alot more looks from the lifted jeeps lol. Had a guy last night in a what looked to be a semi lifted Durango come racing up beside me checking it out ( i was still higher then him ).

I didn't see, but did you replace the panhard bar when you did your lift? I'm starting my lift in about a week ( waiting for 88's to be delivered). I didn't know if I need to have it before I lift it or if it can wait a few? If you didn't, how's it ride?

Was looking over my TB today and seen my drivers side upper CV boot came/slipped off the CV Joint.

Odd thing was the clamp was no where to be found so it must have busted and fell off. Trying to get the boot back up in place and get a clamp going is a PITA. Finally gave up on that and started taking break lines loose and upper ball joint (which I noticed is tore so need to replace as well). Long story short I had to take the CV out from the diff so I could get it straight to get the boot on where it would stay to put hose clamp on it. Not having the socket to take the end out of the hub mad it hard to reinstall lol. But all fixed and now I noticed the other side started leaking grease form same boot end. Upper closest to the Diff. Man those CV's are at a hell of an angle.

Now what Im worried if I cut the stock clamp off that it will slip off like the other side just did and Ill have to go through that mess again. Would it hold good if I installed a hose clamp OVER the stock clamp holding boot on? Im kinda on the fence on whether it would either do any good or just slide off.
