Putting out a request

Anyone with the 4.2L...if you would be so kind as to post up some vids of your exhausts and include descriptions. I bought my truck with a magnaflow muffler in place of the stock mid-muffler and I would like to hear how other exhausts sound compared to mine. It's much appreciated :thumright:

Stock there is nothing to post up, you can't hear it. Mine is a straght trough muffler and no tailpipe (for now) its loud.

Ill try to get a video of it sometime.

Makes it easier to hear your spotter when they are trying to keep ya from bashing in your quarter or fender.

I cut my resonator off, re-welded the old tip on, its perfect. Nice tone, but still somewhat quiet at idle.

Go to YouTube and enter trailblazer exhaust in the search field. Pretty much every muffler imaginable on there. Personally, I lost the res and swapped the muffler with a dynomax. Sounds good and is just loud enough for me.

what model of Dynomax muffler did you use? the super turbo? :poke:

For me, Treading Lightly includes no unnecessary noise pollution. I wasted $400 on aftermarket mufflers before settling on a Wagner that's smaller but quieter than OEM.

when we camped on the beach that one time, that was one of my biggest gripes, you are there at 11pm trying to get kids to sleep and some body in a jeep that wants it to sound bad is driving up and down the beach.

they finally stopped about 1am.

it was a learning experience though, we found a better location to camp for next time.

its just my opinion about straight pipes. the absolute only thingy sound good on is carbed engines and even then its sketchy.
