TrailVoy tx from OR.

Hi all,

I have a TB EXT LS 4WD I6 w/ 112K. I actually happened to find this site by accident. I was looking to add TrailVoy to my new Android phone with Tapatalk. While searching for the site I wanted, this site came up. After doing a little browsing and find such trusted TrailVoy members as JamesDowning and The Roadie, I knew I had to join. I remember hanging on every post these guys wrote when I first joined TrailVoy and was thirsting for TB knowledge.

Anyways, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

On an unrelated note, I was so excited. My exhaust manifold has been cracked, leaking and annoying as heck for the last year. I finally got one ordered, got all of the parts and seals, and changed it out in my driveway last weekend. Hood opening to hood closing, about five hours. The best part, not one single broken exhaust bolt.

I work in the health care. So as previously stated, tx is short hand for transfer. I am a trailvoy member and transferred here.

As far as Oregon, I live in Troutdale. It's just on the eastern edge of Portland.

The manifold has been the only big thing I have done to it. Brakes, oil change, routine maintenance is about as good as its gotten. The next thing on the list is a new fuel level sending unit.

I have actually really wanted to lift it. Just no idea where to begin, or even come close to having the right tools or resources to lift it efficiently.

Guess that's why I'm here in the first place.

It's not only key to want to lift it, but also to want to use it. That's really more of the key here... we don't do the lifts for appearance purposes.

But it sounds like you're on the right track so far. Time to do some reading.

you can get a lot of help on this board (and the OS), you also have some good neighbors up your way. I expect if you are willing to drive they might help you out with the install for a few beverages and some pizza.
You'll need to get some tools though so you can be prepared for issues, nevermind Fishsticks said he was taking you, he'll have a spare of everything you need

You can likely learn more in one trip wheeling with those guys than reading for a week on here but read anyway.

Fishsticks is a good guy, I met up with him for a couple of hours last year when I was leaving WA at the end of my vacation. He isn't too far from you. I am sure he can help you out a lot.

Everyone is fairly helpful if you read through everything and use the search.
