LMAO. Yeah. Found a green fender on car-part for 85, and there's primer hoods on ebay for 150 shipped. I'll just go bumper-less until I can scrounge money together for Mike's stuff

I think you can get a primer-ed bumper cover for $97 shipped on ebay. I expect you can beat out your bumper enough with a good cover on it you wouldn't notice until you get the funds together for one of Mike's bumper.

One thing to keep in mind when running without the cover is the bottom of our radiator is exposed and a rock flying up off the interstate could be a problem.

Ah, yeah. Didn't think about that. It doesn't look like the support was messed up at all, guess I hit at just the right angle. I might just pop the plastic on the bumper out with a hammer and go like that. I don't see a reason behind spending the money on a new one when that can go towards one of Mike's

I think that is what I would at least try first. I can't tell from the pics if your brush guard saved your headlight or if he was so low that it actually caused your fender/hood damage, meaning he might have just caught bumper but since he go the brush guard that it crumpled on your fender/hood. I guess it doesn't matter, what is done is done.

Finally got all the parts in for the TB today. Now all I need to do is grab some Raptor Liner and wait on the steel bumper from Mike.

Finally got around to fixing my A/C, even tho the summer is mostly over... I had been having a whine that went with RPM change, I knew it wasn't the idler bearing since I changed that only 6 months ago. Narrowed it down to the A/C compressor since the noise went away when the A/C was on. Didn't want to shell out the $$ for a new compressor so I just went with a shorter belt to bypass the A/C for the last 5 months or so.

Found a thread on the OS about it possibly being the bearing, which it ended up being. So I just picked up a new bearing for it and decided to replace it this weekend since I also needed to replace my fan clutch. It was a pain to remove, but it is all fixed and works great again! And now that I got the fan clutch replaced, its not constantly turning with the motor, so now I can prob look to be getting some mileage back!

If only I had time to replace my front diff seal which has being weeping for the last year now... Oh well, maybe next time I fix stuff on the truck.

Nope, local bearing store had it in stock. Decided since I was doing the fan clutch I might as well try to find the bearing. And I got lucky for sure. Only 5 min walk from my apartment too!

Yep! Just walked in with the dimensions of the bearing I needed and walked out couple minutes later! Very convenient.

Wow, how lucky can you get? I tried a couple of local places and they didn't have it in stock. I found one place in Arizona that had it in stock and it took me almost 2 weeks to get it from him. Pretty slow on the processing part.

We've got a couple..... But then, at one time, there was over 10 saw mills in our town alone, and hundreds in the surrounding area..

Replaced my brake pads and rotated my tires, when I got the front driver tire off I noticed I had a torn inner CV boot again. Grrrr. At least it was a quick fix this time. Since I didn't know how long it had been torn and I have done some river crossings I repacked the grease in the bearings. Amazing how fast you can do it after 3 or 4 times.

Anybody know what Code 526 is on our trucks?

My C/E light is on and my reader pulled:

495 - Fan Clutch

410 - Air Injection Pump

014 - Camshaft Position Sensor? It coded as 014 which I also found as a "High Temp" code but Im assuming it is supposed to be the 0014 code for the CPS

526 - ???????

Searched it and havent found anything yet other than it may be related to the fan clutch as well???


Just ordered new Z71 springs off ebay (Nice heads up Roadie) and some new sway bar end links from Rock Auto. Time to get the truck tightened back up and everything fixed before Winter.
