Cardone CV Axles

So I replaced my CV's with Cardone units last fall and today when getting my TB ready for inspection I noticed something that made me scratch my head. The new cv's busted the boot just like the oem ones had done. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions as to a fix? I'd prefer not to yank this cv as it was a C U Next Tuesday to get the oem one out.

Are you talking about the tripod boots or the CV boots?

A lot of people have swapped the inner clamp for a 4" pipe clamp from a hardware store.

I assumed he meant 'busted' as in, the seal between the tripod and the boot is leaking a bit.

It's leaking past the seal. I took a quick look when I got home and it appears the clamp that Cardone put on that boot has stretched out a bit, definately loose. I just find it odd seeing that the axle is less than 6 months old.

My stockers did it a week after lifting... 4" hose clamps will fix.
I own too many vehicles now. Let's leave it at that.
