If you're looking for something fun in the VA area, check out the GWNF west of Harrisonburg. There are some decent trails there to wet your whistle. However if you're stock, you'll want to be a little pickier about which trails you head down.
YES! I noticed a road in one of your video's the TECORE III at the 23 second mark looked exactly like a road I've been up in GWNF with our first Trailblazer, however at the 1:43 I can tell you I didn't go up anything that far, but we mostly camped out. Only one of us had an truly off road capable vehicle. However when I visited GWNF I went with a friend who frequents that location in his Colorado, and I haven't the slightest idea how to find it again.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'd love to take our new Trailblazer there again sometime before our trip.
Sadly I only have one non-embarrassing photo of the entire event.
As of right now, the Trailblazer is bone stock, but after looking over the forums and the cost of the BDS Suspension 2inch suspension lift it's something I might be doing as soon as it warms up. I had in my mind that a lift alone without tires would cost 2000 or more, but those prices are doable right now today. Has me a little more motivated.

PS: Thanks for the Welcomes, hoping to learn and eventually give back.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.
