first of all congrats on a great forum/site!!well i was bored tonight till i came across with this vids on youtube.and i saw offroadtb.com i immediately signed up.ive always wanted to have an offroader suv or pick up truck.i never thought that all the while i have the one i was looking for.i own a tb02 4wd.all stock no mods .i thought tblazers cant be used for rock crawling ,offroading or mudding..now it totally changed my interests on other trucks or suv.i alwys wished i have money to buy a jeep or a pick up to mess around with.now i know that i can do something with my tblazer.i guess ill have another addiction.im also into 5th scale radio controlled trucks/buggies.spent so much in them also.anyway heres my:

my questions are ,whats g80 tranny?is it an upgrade?where do u buy the stuff like lift kits, bumpers and all stuff u guys have on ur trailvoys?is there an actual lift kit for it ?what tires and wheels do u guys use?thanks for your help !youll be seeing me alot in here.

WELCOME the G80 is not your tranny it's the locker in your rear axle differential, look on the inside of your glovebox door there is a sticker with a bunch of codes on it if you find G80 on that list then your tb already has it, it locks your rear axle if one tire starts to spin faster than the other,I think it's something like 200 rpm differnce(someone correct me if I'm wrong). If you don't see G80 then you have limited slip which sucks, it's like whatever tire loses traction gets all the power.

As for everthing else, check out the vendors on this site they sell almost all the stuff you mentioned or can point you in the right direction and just read the threads, it's all in there somewhere.

Have Fun :friday:

Welcome to ORTB :)
:friday:

A lot of questions can be used by searching through the forums, I've found that most any question I have has been answered before. As far as lifts, bumpers, etc., it'll take some hunting. Not a huge market for GMT-360 aftermarket parts, but I agree with what's been posted, search through the vendors on this site, and you'll find some good stuff. :)

Hope you enjoy! :safari:

Welcome to the site!! Your trailblazer can turn in to any thing you want. You want to use it for mudding you can , you want to crawl some rock you can how much you really care about it. There isnt a lot of mods you can do to make your Tb look like a 6.5 lifted jeep with 39s but you can do quite a bit. Its how far you want to go. There are a couple guys that can help you a lot with questions you have. Then there are some guys that just tell you to go looking for your self. Have any questions just ask some one will answer you there are a ton of awsome guys that are willing to help.

Happy hunting.

Welcome! Definitely check out the build threads here to get some ideas going, but you might find you will get a lil more help after searching a bit for yourself. We got a few different ways to get the TB in the air, and as for bumpers and armor we have an awesome guy on the forum (bartonMD) that does excellent work.

And to clear it up, he G80 is actually a limited slip, if you don't have one then you just have an open carrier. And also believe it locks at 100rpm difference.

Happy searching! :friday:

Actually ... G80 is a locker... no G80 means open.
A limited slip is a 3rd type of differential, not to be confused with a locker.

Where in Jersey you at? Im up north here next to newark - but we got people up here, down in central and down way south.
(IF YOUR NOT FROM JERSEY YOU MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND ALL OF THIS NEXT PART)

Listen bro, im gonna welcome you here no problem but you gotta learn some things here first. Its gonna sound wack as hell but one of our rules around here is to type proper. It causes less headaches and makes it easier for everyone to read - dont wanna piss off a benny. Secondly be easy with hittin powerlines and the pineys. Were big on legal offroading fun we dont like dealin with 5-0 , that gives offroaders a bad name and worse it gives US HERE a bad rep if you start rippin up the powerlines and get caught we dont wanna hear it - dont wanna piss off a benny. If you get caught dont come crying to us cause youv been read your rights.

Also, search. All of your questions have been answered multiple times. Anything further just PM me (private message)

Welcome aboard!

So we should just give irishboy a forum all by himself?
