I do not do any extreme off roading, but like to get out to the best hunting and fishing spots.

Welcome! Another here who's not really into the Off-road/Crawling scene. I've just got some killer hunting/fishing spots that can be hard to get to. :thumright:

Welcome... might also be time to lose the nerf bars - replace them with something a little more substantial.

Nice color, Man. Welcome to the site! Be careful, though. It starts out as a couple of small mods. Before you know it, you can't stop.

I'm still running the nerf bars :fro:

I would not be able to open my doors if I only had nerf bars. My sliders are dinged and ground flat in several places but it sounds like the op doesn't need sliders

Nothing is really wrong with them. However offroad they can get dented or crushed fairly easy. Several of us have rock sliders or rock rails (same thing) which are stronger tubes or box steel and provide much more protection. They are typically welded to the frame and can support the vehicles weight if on a rock or log when wheeling. It sounds like you currently don't need the protection and the nerf bars will function as you need.
