drivetrain: 4.2 l i 6, replaced motor 5 years ago with new,used(30,000)miles /new beefed up trans ,reluctor ring for vss,transgo shift kit,corvette servo,over size trans pan, cooler ,temp sender gauge/231c tc case (manual)/tom woods drive shafts:
suspension mods:custom leaf spring lift sas/ford dana 60 front 4.88 gears/chevy 14 bolt full floater rear 4.88 gears/both detroit lockers (auto),purple cranium diff protectors/rancho shocks/PSC ps pump res and cooler/redneck ram assist 1.75/crossover steering/off road design offset draglink/lots and lots of fabricating!/37by13.5 nitto mud grapplers/17in raceline beed locks
ext mods:tube bumper with winch plate. Warn zeon winch and skid/welded reciever tire-gas can mount/flexi flares/tail light protectors/fire stick antenna/hood struts/neilageinc.com rock sliders,extended breather hose's(trans,tc/diffs)
umm...low range rock lights/oil-trans-tc-gas-pinion skids.
engine mods:green air filter/relocated oil filter/res deleate(piped out back)/magnaflow muffler
interior mods:rear cargo shelf/various cargo nets for storing/flash light/fire ext/thule storage bags/ammo cases full of junk/tool box/cobra cb radio/on board air/cabin air filter.
recovery equip: hi lift jack/straps/tree strap/rope/shackles front and rear/plug kit(tire repair)
electrical mods: /tucked in the trailer light conn/front and back winch wiring with quick disc/sears platinum p4 battery/battery sw for winch selection/added rear cargo light/hi beam-quad light-fog light mod 2rear 100 watt backup lights with 3 way sw(on,off,backup)

well it all started out as a couple torn cv boots. two were expected because they were old. the one i was suprised about was the replacement boot by dorman. i had just put this on. the material is pliable but just to thin. and this was not stretched at all unlike the others because of the suspension lift. finally replaced with some cardone axle shafts. these seem to be the ticket!
replaced orig upper ball joints and front wheel bearings(pass side was very noisy). then got to the disconnect. this came off real easy! yea the rear housing was broken off in the side of the oil pan! pieces were a pain in the a!! to get out! had bin broken for a while the lower part of the break was wet and there was water in the bottom of the disconnect. the gears, fork and 2 bearings looked good. one bearing was rusted from moisture. opted to replace all bearings and seals , cleaned up and regreased it all. got another rear housing. the old disconnect was still working tho, it just needed a rebuild bad. not bad for an 02!
