I like the work, but don't like the extra cost. It prohibits me from doing more fun mods.

Understandable. But once we get a new set of control arms made, with oversized balljoints that should solve their short life span issue.

You removed your front sway bar, so 2 less end links to buy. It would be nice to have something that didnt require as much TLC but this is my truck, im stuck with it, and I love it. Except for the fact it is slowwwww hahahahaha

Haha no mine wasn't the one that hydrolocked that was Irishboy02.

Mine is custom tuned by scarabepic22 on the OS that's why I said mine isn't slow anymore. :)

I stand corrected. My mistake. Any chance you can do a write up on what you had done exactly? I understand if you cant post his file cause people would duplicate the settings. But how aggressive of a tune did you get? and what numberical value did you use for correcting your tire size?

Yeah not a problem I will make something that explains what we changed and then I will try and get some exact specs to explain more when I meet up with him next.

Sorry I missed this first time around. There are such wires, but I'm on a business trip (guess where) and don't have my manuals with me. Check when I get home, but it will be 2-2 weeks.

The time has come to replace my thermostat... I've been throwing the P0128 code for months. I haven't worried too much about it since its been warm out, but now that its getting cold, its time to replace it. I've had a new tstat in the garage for a while now, picked it up when I thought I was having other tstat issues. I still need to get some DEX-COOL. I plan on draining all the coolant while I'm at it.... anyone local care to assist?

A coolant flush is in my near future. I have about 122,000kms so far, and its on the same coolant as the day it was made. def time for some new stuff.

My sway bar endlinks are noisy as hell. I wish someone made a real quick disco replacement that worked for our lifted trucks. I guess ill just get a set of moog.

I also have a few burnt out dash lights on the thermostat stuff, no bigy. Ill fix it one of these days hahaha.

Got a horrible creaking and rattle sound in the front end with my foot on the brake slowing down from 40, someone thought it was worn bushings. Oil change is slightly overdue, needing new tires, throttle body could use a cleaning, need new wipers before the rain and snow hits and there's something else I'm forgetting right now but it'll come back to me when I start cussing at it when driving. Oh, yeah... Fog light, one of them is burnt out.

:wallbash:

I need to hit the lotto.

Changed the front diff seal and fluid tonight. SUCKED. Beat on and pried on the tripod for hours. Tried slide hammer and everything me and barton could think of. Finally drove an old body bolt between shaft and diff for the 5th or 6th time and then whacked it good and poof it slid out. But prolly broke a finger and cut a bunch a knuckles and then 3 lb hammer and socket smashed and split pinky finger. Oh well it is done and it all works. Now this weekend it is splined disco and new shaft on pass side. hopefully it goes easier.

Is that the seal that is known for leaking?
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.

Let's see, in the past 2 months:

Lift On
New Brakes (Just Replaced 10k ago)
New Fog Lights (Mine goes through bulbs at an alarming rate)
Throttle Body Cleaned
Spark Plugs
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
ALL FLUIDS CHANGED
Water Pump
Thermostat
Serp belt
Idler Pulley
Shocks
Drivers Side Wheel bearing
Passenger Side Inner CV boot done last night (Yes I changed the boot instead of the whole axle)

Still to do:
Fan Clutch now has the roar
Clunk in the rearend
Squeak in the front
Needs Swaybar links
Muffler has a hole in it
Shoot myself in head

I only have one worry right now. For some reason I get a squeaky kinda metal on metal sound that I can only hear when putting my truck in reverse. I think I will have to take a trip to mister transmision to have the pros take a look since I am almost 2000kms from home working on a film.

1. check trans
2. buy and install cb radio
3. spark plugs
4. tire balance and rotation
5. Coolant flush
6. new batt
7. Smaxx end links

good think i am back to work.

I've got some stuff sitting in the garage... waiting on the new springs.

Going to be replacing CVs and upper ball joints, also flipping the UCAs.
