so whats the biggist tire i can fit with the smaxx lift and adapters i got the 30.5 right now but i really would like to get as close to 33's as i can i got stock rims but i plan on changing those out too

I'm not sure there are ANY 33's that are factory spec'ed to fit on 7" wide rims. You looked closely at the tire specs yet?

The current record holders are multiple members (3 now?) with 35's, but really, that's a HUGE risk for hard offroading, given the strength of the drivetrain.

You can fit a 33x10.5 on our 7" rim no problem. I believe Mrsmithtb is running 285/70-16 IIRC.

Really Bill? Have you forgotten about the venerable 255/85? Spec'd for stock diameter rims and 33" in diameter.

Yeah seems like 255s and 10.5s would work on a 7" rim, 10.5 is slightly bigger (like 0.07in) than 265mm

I fit 285/75/16(33x11.25) on the stock 7" wide rim. The tires aren't spec'd for anything less than 7.5", so that would be an obvious tire warranty void. But 7 out of 10 off roaders will tell you that is doesn't create any real safety issues. It protects the bead more, and as long as they are pressurized correctly(@35psi) they will wear evenly. And at that psi, the sidewalls don't have enough flex to wander at higher speeds. I will roll with 33" tires on my stock rims again, but not until I ad some body lift to my suspension lift, and maybe re-gear my diffs.

FWIW both BFG sizes I linked are factory rated for 6.5-8.5" wheels.

The 33" tire is quite glorious sounding on paper, but I'm not sure if I need the extra 1/2".

I've had my eyes on those tires since they came out though. Trying to tell myself to just stick with 32s.

That's exactly what I was thinking, if the extra trouble was really worth it, considering what we would get only 1/2"-3/4"
