Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Hello from the Oregon Coast!

New members: please introduce yourself here.

Hello! I have been perusing for a while, and never really fussed with a truck newer than about 1978. But now I have no older rigs, so this is what I plan to monkey with.

I have a 2005 EXT i6 4x4 that is a 3.73 G80 (with pink and blue front springs.) I have owned it since new (130,000 miles.)
About all I have done to it is put REVO tires on it about 75,000 miles ago as well as front break pads, belt, plugs, waterpump.

Needless to say, it is about to get a lot of work done to it :) (because I need to replace shocks, struts, and have totally bald tires - which means getting stuck on logging cuts this winter if I don't get busy)

So, looking to get the new 3" mark lift, z71 rear, new shocks and struts (leaving front springs until I decide what I want to do with the bumper) and 17x9 pro-comps with swamper irok ND 285/70/17s.

I look forward to learning from and appropriately mocked (as needed) for what I am about to embark upon.

I don't know your exact mission, but I'd highly suggest you looking at the Radflos if your budget can allow. Otherwise, 3 years from now you'll be looking at it and going "maybe I should upgrade to radflos".

Thanks all!

I would love to go radflos, but I need to replace tires asap and there is no way to fit them in the budget. For now, I just need to keep the front end from dipping around like a binge drinker. I hope by end of season I can work something like that in.

So, if I go radflos, does liftmeister just sell rear blocks?

Yes, you may have to contact him directly though. I don't know his website offerings by heart.

Thanks TrailX and TBYODA! If this were an old Chevy PU, I would know exactly what I would/could/maybe do. I feel so lost! lol

And heya Ryan. it looks like you have a long one like me :D

Edit:
I am so excited.. lol.. Never tried to mod up something this new.

I have a feeling it is going to end at the bottom of a logging cut, but damnit, the road there is the story!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I am not sure you can get the radflo's from Wheeler's any more. I don't see them on there site and Johnny left Wheeler's to start his own company. I read about it on Facebook. You will have to call them.

This is the first I've heard of this. Could you post a link to the facebook?

I got a email back from Wheeler's that they can still get the radflo's no problem. :excited: :woot: Just email Josh or call them and they can get them lined up.

I am sure this was really the wrong place for this, maybe it should moved/deleted or JD can updated Wheelers vendor data.

I ordered my parts.

Is there an FAQ on build threads?

OK. I waited until I could get radflos. Too many posts here about them to not do it.

So. I will take pics and post up pre-build and get busy (assuming it isn't raining .. I have to do this in the gravel)

Will be going rad on front + Moog UCA flip + LCA replace + total brake rebuild.
z71 springs, markmc lift and skyjacker on back + total brake rebuild.

I am probably going to solicit a lot of advice on wheels/tires (have the markmc 6.5 spacer) and maybe $1800.

85% highway, 5% sand, 5% mud, 5% creek beds (3-6" rock) - but that 15% is my fun money salvaging firewood.
