Hey guys, been lurking on the site for a while now doing research......racking up a parts list and have plans for getting a little dirty.

Heres my list so far:

2006 Trailblazer LS 4x4 I6

Phase I

2.5'' Suspension lift (MarkMC)
1.5" spacers or adapters (MarkMC)
BF Goodrich All Terrain 265/75/R16 mounted on stockers or H3 wheels (havn't decided yet)
PCMforLess Tune (might just make an appointment and drive there, only 45 min away :D .

Phase II
Billstein HD front
(I have the 82's on both sides up front will this set up work or should I upgrade those too?)
Tahoe Z71 springs
BDS 5500 shocks

Phase III
Radiator Skid
Oil Pan Skid
(and possibly front bumper)

Off-road plans
Mostly Beach driving at the outer banks and Fort Fisher area but I want to also hit some trails at Uwharrie NP.

Anybody see a problem with the set-up that I've come up with?

Welcome aboard!
There is a guy in Creedmoor (just north of Raleigh) that has some 88's and Z71 springs for sale for $110. His stuff is in the classifieds on trailvoy. He will answer PMs. He was only doing local pickup.

Welcome aboard!

Decide what you want to do wheel wise before getting your spacers.

Welcome to the Site.

If you decide to wheel some before the spring change, i'd go for the armor first just so you don't end up like some of our other members who didn't...

Hello and :thumright: Welcome :thumleft:

I'd switch phase 1 and phase 3 with each other and not consider a bumper until your sure if you want a BL or not and not change front springs either until then. Billstein HDs and a suspension lift should be done at the same time (much easier).

Your truck build will be fun to watch! :coffee2:

I don't plan on doing any trails until I complete all 3 phases. I don't plan on doing the BL since I don't see a whole lot of benefit to me and don't want to fork out the extra $$$.

Since I have only gotten stuck twice in stock form but nothing 30 minutes with a shovel didn't fix.

As far as spacers/adapters I know that if I do the H3 wheels I'll need the 6x5 - 6x5.5 adapters and If I decide to hang on to the stockers and just give them a paint job and just need 6x5 spacers. Also I plan on hacking off that joke of a resonator that we have.

I also have a few interrior mods/repairs to do:

Repair alignment pin on center console (thinking about making a metal piece to replace the plastic part of the console lid.
Repair both Drivers and Passengers seat trim (I guess when I sat down the seat compressed and popped that plastic trim off and broke it where it mounts to the seat) Solution : Lost 40 lbs and now if I replace the part it shouldn't break...I hope.

I work at a R&D facility for two major brands of Heavy Duty Trucks. So I have access to a multitude of machine shop tools (CNC machine and more).

Thanks for your input guys I'll be creating my build thread soon and posting a current pic !
