Depending on how close you are to the beach (add a location to your profile!), I'm sure one of the guys would be happy to bring out you there. You don't really NEED a lift there.

Hello from the NC coast!
Carolina Beach lets you drive on the North End (Freeman Park) and the South End(Fort Fisher) with passes but I wouldn't really call it offroading, just getting to a fishing spot!

I think only in Vegas would they think about paving a fake beach and painting it "sand". And put plastic fish in there for visitors to catch with magnets on the end of their lines. :poke:

Sure you are driving your vehicle off road and some of that deep sand can be tricky at times. I'm thinking since is only maybe a mile long beach so you really wouldn't do much "off-roading"

My friend's Jeep with 33" A/T found out how deep the sand can be, I don't think he was trying to find the bottom but he did a good job. #1 rule to driving in beach sand: If your tracks are deep, don't stop. Can't wait to get back out on the island..

that is why I want to get a winch and hopefully a pull-pal. Then I won't have to worry too much about getting stuck.
The difference between getting stuck in the swamp in the mud and at the beach is if you get stuck in the mud around here a "redneck" will be along in 10 minutes or so and pull you out and love every minute of it. At the beach folks aren't as excited about stopping in the sand and pulling you out.

The one time I got stuck (with our old explorer) everyone told me to air down. I aired down but was already buried. I ended up jacking the thing up and filling in the holes with sand and putting driftwood and such down and was about ready to try to drive out when a guy offered to tow us out. At that point I wasn't about to let that offer get away.
