Hey I new here. My name is Joe from Mass. I made the switch over from trailvoy to get some off road knowledge. Also get some help with my build, its ans 03 Trailblazer LT non g80 4wd. My plan is to get markmc 3" lift with spacers, 32" tires and bilstein's all around with Tahoe rear springs. In a nut shell that's my plan. Any insight or advice greatly appreciated in advance as for I'm a novice to off roading. Thanks in advance.

Hi! The place for non-offroading information is now GMTNation.com, where all the trailvoy staff and regulars moved to after the site was sold and the new owners disrespected us in 2011. It's mostly a ghost town now.

You're probably familiar with the build threads. Plenty of trail reports to go through. I grew up in the Berkshires and lived in Newton/Needham for 20 years until I got a chance to move West. Not as many public lands out East to ride.

True roadie not many trails but I'm sure gonna try. I've followed your build you posts and knowledge are where I started my research for my build looking to take my 03 to the next level. I've been wanting to to this build for years and now that I've taken the TB over from the wife its time to see the off road capability. I've also never seen one lifted here so can't wait to get underway.

]Welcome to the site Joe. Sounds like you've done some reading already! And as the Roadie told you, no one uses TrailVoy anymore, if you are curious why, you can read the whole story here: http://gmtnation.com/f5/welcome-gmtnati ... story-226/

Also sounds like you have some plans laid out for your rig already. Since you mentioned you have a non G80 rear end, I'm curious if you know what gears you have. If you've got 3.42's you might want to consider adding a transmission cooler to your setup.

Also, you're going to need either wheel spacers or adapters (depends on what rims you run) to clear the upper ball joint when you go to 32's. Two useful threads to answer questions in regard to this:
Maximum Trailblazer Tire Size without Modification & Wheel Spacers

And welcome again.

Yes I plan running marks wheel spacers and I do have the 3:42 gears didn't even think about the trans cooler thanks for the heads up still trying to figure out what I'm going to run for rear shocks thinking the bilstein 5100 that are mentioned in this post I found

These are close to BDS 55619's in dimension. They are gas charged monotubes instead of hydraulic. (In other words, they're about 100x better.)

Hi all. I live in kingston nh. Im new as well and am looking to do some light lifting and stiffining to my 03 envoy ride. Looking to increase tire size a notch as well with some spacers as keeping my stock 17 rims.
This is a great site with quick feedback. I have found so much great info already, one things for sure im loving my muddy driveway after this long miserably frigid weather.
Look forward to getting dirty in the near future

There's tons of helpful info here on this site as I have learned the search feature is a great and useful tool. I've found all my suspension ideas and info here and many members have helped with my future build. I'm just awaiting shocks and then my build thread will be born can't wait to be lifted and out on some trails
