Dorman 4WD disconnect

G80, GU6, GT4, GT5, WTF? This section is for gearing and driveline stuff.

Seems Dorman finally came out with a replacement disconnect. It's listed as the housing, but from what I can find, all of the pictures show gears, seals, and the internals of it.

Although it's only $40 less than the ATP one on Rockauto.

After all the time I spent trying to convince them there was a market for this years ago, I'm extremely disappointed the product manager I was talking to put this on the market and didn't at least put me on the list to be alerted. But the enthusiast market must be a small one. They certainly screwed up their fan clutch clone.

But $40 is 10% of the ATP price. No reason for them to price it any lower then they have to to beat the other guy by enough to capture the cost-sensitive buyers. Classic market entry tactic.
