As soon as the 20's sell I will order up some new 315 70 17's for the ground clearance and since this let me know they will fit without too much rubbing if any.

Seems those 35s are kind of a requirement with your height now. I'm glad I can still get away with 33s.

Yeah, but those a true 35, not like a normal 315 or 35x12.5 which only measure out to 33 on a truck or jeep. They really were too big, but they measured like the pitbulls I keep dreaming of. I did find that a 33 pitbull measures out the same as a 35 KM2...

You want to read some funny stuff, look up the rubicon owners being in shock that there 255 / 32's they thought they had only measure 31. Dissappointment galore.

I found a lot of actual tire sizes by reading posts on calibrating speedometers. people were stunned to be setting the spedometer for a 33.2 for a tire with 35 on the sidewall. But it is nice to read between the lines and find out different brands real heights.

9 trucks showed up, and 4 of us were lifted. There was another lifted member there, but he left his truck at home. Not to bad of a showing for the off road group.

Went out shooting with a buddy today. We decided to drive past the power line road, which is full of giant sloppy mud holes.

"Hey! I can test out the winch!"



I tried to get myself stuck a few times but wasn't able to... the locker does it's job!

Then I found these way-to-deep-for-32"-tires ruts.



Decided to stop in the middle of the hole instead of just powering through it... after all I wanted to get stuck. Started up and pushed myself up that center mud slab as far as I could. Forward wheelspin: check! Reverse wheelspin: Check! Tried 4HI for kicks (I still have my old gears up front, but no rear traction so we're safe)... Loss of traction to front wheels: Check!



Yep, stuck.






Hooked up the winch to my buddy's Titan... and started to drag it. After he got in and put his foot on the brake, I was able to pull my truck out easily from outside.

I plowed the center slab with my rear diff pretty good...






HF winches are SLOW. But later I pulled myself about 75' up a pretty good incline in one shot and neither the winch nor the power lines even got warm.

...and I got dirty. Happiness.


Decided to drive up and over the mountain when we were done... drove past this.

Last time I saw that was in Australia. It's kind of strange driving past a a burning forest on the side of the road like it's no bid deal. I'm sure those of you out west know the feeling.

I wasn't there but it wasn't a concern I'm sure. The rain here quells such endeavors. Bad Fish!
