Two stamped with a G one with a C and all with US.

So a quick search and these are the USGI Steel Blitz cans. I'm assuming the one stamped C is a civilian issue. I'll see as I prep the cans for paint. Article I read says they leak. Any body using these?

Yeah, that style leaks a little if everything's not just PERFECT, and because they screw down on the seals, instead of press down, the seals don't last for ever, but they're good cans none-the-less.

some guys at work were getting rid of some of these fuel cans so I proceeded to get 2 of them and the filler funnel. I'm a big fan of the scepter gas cans. Good quality and no leaks.

The scepter red civilian plastic cans won't fit a standard holder, do those?

I've got one of those plastic scepeter cans. IIRC, it doesn't fit in the same holder that works with my NATO cans.
