That's quite a fishing rig you have off the back! Maybe if I take the wife on a beach camping trip she'll be more enthusiastic about my new hobbie. :)

Great first camping trip, bath house on island with shower shitter and sink. Always room for more, so far just me and my brother going this trip. Long ride but well worth it.

Rory, I saw on another board they are charging $50 per week or $120 per year to drive on the beach at the outer banks. I'm not real sure all the areas affected but you might want to look into it if you haven't already.

here is a petition to reverse the new rule.

I'm not sure of what the deal is with this fee deal on Hatteras Island but I have confirmed it does not apply to Cape Lookout. May be because more people go to Hatteras cause you don't need to take a ferry, but there has been a permit that you had to buy for years to ride on the beach on Hatteras from what I've heard. I don't really go there....

Looks like I'm taking the TB and the ATV.

Just 2 weeks to go, time to drag all my gear out and do inventory and check everything, I know I need to reseal my tents, the large one leaked on me in January.

And start planning the meals. Everyone going with me has never been before and I'm sure their camping experience it limited too.
