Great weekend, even with the rain.

Got to camp around noon, fairly mild trails to camp and more developed than expected. Everyone split into small campsites, I set up camp with a jeep and and AMC Eagle I followed in.

Brian, the driver of this jeep was sick and left Sat. when we left for the long trail ride.

Rick(EagleFreak on ExPo) drove his 1986 AMC Eagle and it made it everywhere the rest of us did, though with a little more effort.
It came 4x4 but he swapped in a transfer case with low range and lifted it a little, May do SAS but hasn't decided. I was impressed by this little cars ability and everyone loved it.

Glad you represented us well!

How were the trails compared to GWNF?

For the most part it looks alot like GWNF, more camp sites and some of the trails are graveled but saw some good trails and nice water crossings, rocky areas but nothing like Dictum ledge. The 8hr long ride let me see alot of the mountains even though I think close to half of the ride was pavement going between trails. I have seen more of these mountains than of GWNF so can't wait to get back out there.

He was driving a 78' BJ 40, Not his but a client let him use it, Sweet ride! There was 17 rigs on the ride when I counted at this stop.

Cool little store, they boil peanuts outside in a pot and sell jellies and what not, I did my part as a tourist and got a jar of moonshine jelly.

More pics to come.

Was real fun but you may be better off looking for something closer or starting your own, Hmmm....... If we could get enough rigs to show a massive Tecore that camps in the larger campsites and has a big potluck but splits into groups for trail rides??? Tecore Fried Weekend! Turkey, Twinkies, and TB's I'm in!

Outstanding pictures... Really would like to make an event... Lots of work to do first but looks like it would be worth it...

If your not on ExPo get on there, also see if the is a Georgia4x4 site. NC4x4.com sent me to the Overland Rally for free last year and has a upcoming events section so I now whats going on in my neck of the woods.

Ga4x4.com redirects to NC4x4 and georgia4x4 looks to be a dead site. I just signed up on Expo so Ill try to remember to frequent it. If all goes well with taxes Ill be doing alot of upgrades to make me more confident on trail riding without my buddy to help with recovery. (Winch bumper, sliders, etc)

I wonder why GA4x4 would redirect to NC4x4? Kinda weird, but NC4x4 will include events in most surrounding states.
