Sorry, the footage of the climb was disrupted in the middle. I tried to keep what was good in there. Looking again, I may have cut a little too much, but in my defense I was in a hurry. If anything maybe I will go back and tweak the cut points of the video a little and re-upload it (won't be for another couple weeks though). I tried to choose the best of the 3 gigs of video I had... probably missed some things and cut too much off of others.

That's cool... I was in the vehicle, so I wasn't taping it too... Even if it is jerky, I'd like to see it in full, up and down the hill... No added music or anything needed...

Thanks,

Nope... but I did revamp my video setup.

It's a Sony Handycam now, instead of a point and shoot.

That mounts to a Gripper 115 (http://www.filmtools.com/filmtools-in-c ... mount.html)

I also upgraded my editing software. Much higher quality now!

Jeez, totally missed the height of that rock. There's goes another JKS disconnect

Had a great time everybody, but I will have to rethink the whole "sleeping under the stars" thing ... my arms are covered in bites. Although it may not have been in VA. I camped in Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks park on Sunday night. May have been there.

Won't be processing the videos until next week as I need to catch up on something (former) job related first. :x

Here is some info on the many topics discussed over the campfire, Jack, and Rum:

Rear lower control arms - 7075 T6 Aluminium - 1.25 to 2 inch diameter
TMR Customs

I'm waiting on a quote from them for my length (adjustable to move the axle back) and with Johnny Joints at both ends. The uppers would be DOM tubing because of the offset but also with Johnny Joints at both ends.

Front custom CV axles - dual CV joints and slip shaft
RCV Performance

I would like to contact them this summer to see how much they would charge to custom fab a version for our application - based on the K1500. I have sample stock shafts to send them, however, as Roadie always says, I need to be serious and ready to buy, not just on a fishing expedition.

Custom heavy duty ball joints - upper ones with longer pins to fix the geometry for a 4" lift with my coilovers (current is set at 2.5")
Howe Precision Ball Joints

I ordered a couple last year (larger for lower, smaller for upper) to measure and experiment with. They are BEEFY. I have a lower control arm and spindle from the junkyard and will get to taking pictures and measuring next month hopefully. NOTE: this is a long-term, very custom, project that will require lots of custom fab work, so don't expect progress any time soon. ;)

Powered cooler that runs on AC / DC / Propane
Mobicool
Canadian Tire

The question is can it use the small Coleman propane tanks, or does the fitting need the large BBQ-style tanks?

The Bushcraft Knife - a cutting tool designed for use, not looks
Skookum Bush Tool

This is the hand-crafted knife with the 10-12 month waiting list.

I think thats all ...

Mobicool cooler runs off small propane bottles, but adapter can be purchased to run off larger tanks.

Here's the first half of mine... No music and just stuff that was cool enough to get out and tape... It's DIVX, and for whatever reason, after the conversions, the audio isn't exactly lined up.

Thanks! I'll have one more about that long, as well...

I'm probably going to do EXT front springs, as well... Maybe even EXT rears, I don't know yet... Don't need the extra 1.5" Z71 springs, but would like to have it a little stiffer/higher, as well as the front, without doing a "lift" so to speak, while it's the wife's DD...

Before the next TECORE (fall?), I plan on having a rad skid (already have oil pan skid) and sliders, at the very least...

Again. I cant see it at work, but I can testify that the radiator skid works amd works well. I just drove without going around stuff and it took a bunch of hits with no issues. It definitely makes you feel much safer to bash on stuff.

Few more pics from my camera that decided to pretty well give up the ghost on the trip, but a view pics aren't bad.

Thanks, and no problem! It was really kind of nice being "extra" and being able to just run up ahead, tape everybody, then hop in Kyle's TB as he went by...

By the way, just a reminder, can we get all the footage of that one hill the first afternoon?

Thanks,
Mike
