You would get more leverage with a bigger adjustable. Channel lock makes a adjustable with a large mouth opening.

I thought you were worried about having enough room Matt.

If you go as small as a 12" pipe wrench you will probably want a cheater pipe. If you have then tight they require a pretty good pull to break loose. Since it is machined for a 2" wrench I can't imagine a pipe wrench wont grab it. The only time I worry is when the slot for the wrench is machined in a way the pipe wrench can't get to the hex.
Mike I bent a cheap Chinese TRE that I threw on before I knew better. Not a sleeved Moog.

A little longer than 3 months

But in that 3 months I'm gonna rebuild my transmission myself... should save me $1000 or more bucks.

Let me know if you need any help. Check out my thread about my build, it has links to some good youtube videos and my parts list, plus what I would do differently the next time. That said, I am going to have to do it again. Stay away from the high torque converter unless you add a trans cooler at the same time. It produced way to much heat and burnt up my trans in a matter of 10k miles.

I am going to add myself to the maybe list. I want to make this trip, it all hinges on getting my trans rebuilt and solving a few other issues that are springing up as I hit 275k miles.

I am not sure if this appropriate but...
If someone has a SWR tuner for a CB, would you be willing to bring it so I could tune my CB properly?

And if this is inappropriate, are there any common places to go that would have a tuner to rent for a nominal fee?

So when you are at the pickle park trying to pick up lot lizards and you realize your CB isn't working correctly, you can fix it, right?

Wow! The cheapest I could find was roughly 40 dollars shipped! I must have been looking in the wrong spots!

Moot's; if your willing to then that would be appreciated, but otherwise i don't mind the ~$17 dollars to pick one up.

mine is too, I'll have it with me. I think mine might need retuned. We could probably all tune ours up if needed in the Walmart parking lot.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Amazon is IMO the best place to online shop.
mikekey wrote:We could probably all tune ours up if needed in the Walmart parking lot.

Nope to much steel around, need a wide open area for optimal tuning.
