***UPDATE***

-prices for camping at Lynnville Park runs $18-$22 per day. They have 31 primitive camping spots as well as access to bathhouses. Reservations are preferred so let's get the list started.

-Going:
Myself plus 1 maybe 2,
Bryan (wheeling buddy) plus at least 1 maybe 2 (Jeep TJ)
Regulator

-Maybe:
Hardtrailz

-Out:

Starting this as an interest post for a wheeling and camping trip out at Interlake offroad park in Lynnville, IN. It wouldn't be until May, I'm looking to set the days around the 13th, 14th, and 15th. Interlake is free of charge to wheel plenty of different trail ratings out there as well. It's not set in stone yet, but would be nothing to get everything in line for it. I figured the date give plenty of time to plan and prepare as well. I will be calling the Lynnville Parks Department tomorrow to see about camping prices as well.

Image
This is about the size of the park out there. Pink is 4x4, quads, and bikes
Green is only for quads and bikes

I will be in.

As far as I know yes Dennis, I haven't had any change of plans. I'm working on getting my truck in full working order for the trip in the next week or so.

Moving myself from maybe to going. I should have my strut back together this week, just waiting on FedEx. And I may have a jeep coming also, just waiting to hear back from him.

That's really up to the members who are a bit more of a drive away, Interlake is 25-30 minutes from me so it's a little different in my case. I have some errands to run first thing Friday morning before heading up there. Then I plan to wheel a little Friday if possible, camp Friday night, wheel Saturday, camp that night, pack up Sunday wheel a little and then head back if possible. Alot is gonna depend on how my 2 year is feeling after some camping. And if you guys have little ones you want to bring feel free, trying to make it a kid friendly trip for my kiddo. Thanks

I talked a bit to regulator a couple days ago and will hit him up again and see his plan. I work Friday in Indy so doubt it will be too early

Gotcha, also we've been getting plenty of rain so no doubt it should be a good time there. I called the parks department and am currently waiting a reply, I know a few of my buddies will be there off and on through the weekend as well.

I have parenting duty Friday evening since the wife could not get off work. Will either be there about 2 am or 9 am Sat depending on if I sleep at home or head down.

Do they require a flag?

Can you PM when you hear about the camping and where you expect to be at those times i will likely show? Thanks

It's right at 3 hours, so i will see how early the wife gets off work Friday. Would like to not drive 3 hours in the morning.

I already set the one guy at DNR a message, but had not gotten a response. Will see what he says then call. Thanks

Good Times.

Chris, Matt and I got in Fri and camped at Lynnville Park down the road a few miles from Interlake. Not a bad little place. Shower house had clean enough crapper and actually a hot shower. Was a drive from site, but the sites were nicely sized and remote with firepits and picnic tables.

Saturday was some wheeling and discovery of our way around the damn place. It is huge and maps are not existent much like the trail signage. Wink, Chris, Matt and I were out for the day. Only carnage was a busted tie rod for chris, busted winchline for Matt and he used a tree to remove remove his roof rack from the sheet metal as well.

Sunday Matt, Chris and I went out again and bit more trails marked and more for some wheeling than cruising through the property. Had a tad bit carnage as Matt and I were exploring one last trail. He popped a tie rod on a tree. Trail spare and 20 minutes later we cross the pond to a little flat area of mildly rutted mud holes and he broke the spare as well as we fouond his rear tire to have a sidewall puncture. A bit longer to dig out an third trail spare for the weekend and swap the tire, but all good minus the uppercut from hi-lift to Matts face. Hit parking lot and his Oakleys are missing. I head back in to work zones and try to find them. In process i bind up and pop my outer tie rod. Out comes my jack and tools and spare and swap it in. Then finally hours later we head home.

So damage--3 of the 3/4 ton tie rods failed, one of my stock ones, split 3/8 amsteel blue line, and matts basket smashed and roof slightly perforated.

And to the real stuff yall like...Pics: in random order cause I am too lazy to organize them now
