HA! Submitted a couple pictures of the in-process bumper in a "what you made with plasma" request/picture on Hypertherm's Facebook page, and won a Coleman camp grill!

congrats Mike. It looks like you had some stiff competition. Was it a drawing type thing or did you win based on judging?

Judging, I guess. The other guy that won just uses his to cut up old hard drives, but we were the only 2 that entered who did stuff by hand. The other stuff was really cool, but it was all "I put this stuff into my plasma table computer and told it to cut it out"

ohhhhh, I was thinking some of those cut-outs were very intricate.
I'm thinking someone would have to be a freaking artist to do that kind of cutting.
if someone traced it out on a piece of metal I doubt I could cut that out!

Good job on the win but especially on all the stuff you make for us.

Yeah, I'm actually dropping some steel off at a local guy's house, tonight, and going to get my nut off watching his newly-upgraded Torchmate table run with the new Powermax 65. Plasma tables are REALLY neat!

And thanks!

Here's the one I have access to at work. Too bad the guy who can run it is in Taiwan for six months. :hissyfit:

Roadie, I am sure you can download the manual and after a few minutes be cutting out all kinds of stuff!

Already considered. If I break it, my ass is grass. There *is* a guy I can trade beer for a lesson....... Hmmmmmmmm........

Except I just found out I have to fly to Korea on Thursday and blow off my Labor Day plans. Life is not good. :wallbash:

That's the complete opposite of my brother, he's coming home from Korea on leave for a week. Have a safe trip!

What grill did you win? Our local sporting goods store just had the Coleman road trip LXX gril on sale for $149, down from $199 and I scarfed one up for camping/ tailgating.

Teebes has one like that, but it's the split kind - grill on one side, fry pan burner on the other.

I had one like that. It cooks well, but is a bit difficult to clean.

By the way, the bumper is looking great. Is that one getting a gas tank holder?

No, it's not getting a fuel carrier. He is going to do the thin ones that they use on ATVs, so he's going to do something to mount them when he goes that direction.
