How long did you run the trans low on fluid?

After the fix, Did you immediately top off the transmission fluid to the correct level?

While checking trans fluid level, was the motor running with the trans in park?

Bye bye transmission.

Is it throwing a code. When I lost the 2-3 solenoid even replacing it didn't seem to save me from the inventible rebuild.

I'm no expert but i think the 2-3 shift problem is not related to the line busting.

here is an excerpt from "common 4L60E failures" that apply to you

-No 3rd or 4th gear: “3-4” clutches are worn out. Remove & Replace.

You may have done this already, but I didn't see you note it - have you checked your fluid level again since your fix?

In my experience, rubber hose over steel line never holds as well as you think, even if you don't see a leak... also if the hose isn't rated for transmission fluid, it can leak directly through the hose, not just at the ends. I learned that one from experience.

What is happening after 2nd gear? Is is neutral shifting? Is it high revving after 2? Or is it just locking in 2nd and not even attempting the 3 shift?

Depending on your answer, it could be various things.

Also, do you have any dash lights on? ABS light?
