Air pump

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Hey guys just a quick question are the air pumps the same for all 360 platforms as well as all years? - ac delco says that there 215-629 pump is compatible with 06+ but it looks similar to the ones that are for 02-05 and it's cheaper as well, thanks folks

From what I can tell in a quick search, the inlet port changed somewhere between 2004 and 2006.

That's what I was originally thinking. I just remember seeing in some thread on the OS where it was mentioned that they are universal. Stupid me prior to 06 the pumps used a 90 degree inlet port.... JC

I just installed the new pump last night and tested it this morning by taking the hose off the check value and their still wasn't any air coming out of it. I pulled the two fuses for the PCM when i installed the pump but will I need to pull the one for the pump as well? Sorry for being a noob

There's also a relay that goes bad frequently.
Did you bench test the air pump to make sure it is actually bad?
Did you check the relay?

Yeah I bench tested the pump using a 12v system and I couldn't get it to run at all... Looks like the relay is the only thing left. I'm no engineer but I really don't like the layout of this secondary AIR system that gm designed haha
