Got a 3 inch dump ordered so I can actually put on the magnaflow and have a muffler, since I noticed not only was the rear of my hooker missing, but the side has decided to vacate the arena.

Drivers side cv shaft tore again.... which I replaced not even a month ago... Anyone have any suggestions on a manufacturer that makes the most solid replacement for our cv shaft? The napa brand just ain't cuttin it for me..

On a postive note, I'll get to look at my new rims and tires while I replace the cv shaft!

I drove mine to work, first time in about 6 weeks it's moved, had to have a tire replaced also.

I'm also using Detroit Axle CV's and unit bearings, I have about 10,000 miles on both so far, no failures yet.

Installed my Z71 springs, painted everything in the rear with chassis saver, and monkeyed around with my baby winch.

We got a couple of those baby winches laying around and I thought of rigging one up to stick in the hitch for lil stuff at the farm and such.

My son got me one of those 2500lb ones for Christmas one year. He asked me one day why I hadn't installed it on my truck .

I will get a pic of it installed since I forgot, but the difference is amazing. As the exhaust was rotting I did not realize how loud it had become with basically a straight pip setup over the past year or so. With the simple Magnaflow and turndown it sounds nice and clean with much less inside noise. Almost silent to my ears. We cut the old mounting bolts and pulled the rust out. Used a new flange gasket and bolted up new stuff, but to fit right with the dump we shorted it a couple inches and welded it right to the muffler exit. The mount on the magnaflow was for an ext, so I had to chop the part that slid in the rubber hanger off and weld it right to where the dump was attached. Fit right is and is nice and solid. It now dumps a few inches before the rear axle.

I have mine welded/bolted to a hitch so I can use it to drag things around and whatnot, but I figure if I can get a way to get it above the hitch, I can drag things onto my trailer without in hooking it. I haven't done much more than mock it up there and look at it though lol.

I'm pretty impressed with my mpg with 32s and 3.42 gearing... Hasn't been lower than 14mpg. Mostly stays around 15-16mpg though. Next time I put tires on though I will be going with 295s and Better gearing.
