Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I guess since my bushings are shot it won't do that. Gotta get those done after I do the breaks.

I THOUGHT I was replacing engine mounts, front crank seal and front diff pinion seal, but ended up tearing most of it down for nothing. I got the engine mounts done, but turns out the crank seal isn't leaking, it was just a loose head cover bolt, and the pinion seal isn't something my dad wants me to do alone.

I thought the fan was going to be a total //// to get out involving a bunch of special tools and crap, but I saw a YouTube video where a guy said all you gotta do is have someone hold a big pair of wide mouth pliers on two of the bolt heads on the pulley while you pop the fan nut loose with a big adjustable wrench. I can't believe how easy it was.

It's still in pieces in the garage, hopefully I'll have it back together in the next two days. Should have known better than to follow GM instructions... Pulled way more off than I had to.

What did I do today? Well, I finally got my body lift from Mark almost installed. I say almost installed, because I haven't finished with the rear bumper. That steel is tough! Left the front bumper cover off too since I should be getting my bumper from Barton in a few weeks (hopefully). I did the body lift first since it gives a little better access to the upper control arm mounts. Should make it easier to flip 'em tomorrow when I install the suspension lift. :excited:

Last night I ordered the HD shocks for the front, which I should have done a month ago when I installed the lift  ... And tonight I cut out my resonator :D

I finished up the CB antenna mount. Ran a good ground, modified the power plug to keep the cig lighter and wiring it into the center console.

Finally upgraded my tires to 255/85 R16 Dick cepek extreme country. They handled beautifully. Took everything I threw at them.

Brakes have been a bit funky lately... Been heating up way too easily, and once those ceramic pads get really hot, they tend to stop working and just burn up. So I got new calipers, hoses, and semi-metallic pads all the way around, and bled the entire system of the old nasty fluid. Drove a few miles last night to/from church, and it seems to be working good so far.

My next project when I get my tires on my rims friday haha... Gonna replace brake pads, rotors, and calipers and also upgrade to the ext rotors and calipers up front. About $875 in all. Just throwing money around lol
