What yard?

Gene's Auto Parts in Cadillac and Travers City. I got em both from the Cadillac place. It was the closest place to me that had an 8.6" with 4.10s.

A lot of progress being made today. Still have more work to do after dinner.

We went over to my father in-laws shop early today. I've been working on a major overhaul of my wiring, which I'm a little ashamed to say was ghetto rigged previously. Now everything is neat, tucked away, and wired up properly and safely.

Image

My wife went to work fixing her fender today, which we got cut and tack welded to adjust the tire flares for the larger tires. I know some of you have just been taking a cutting wheel to them, but we decided to cut, and pull back to maintain the OEM appearance. It's getting primered now so I'll have to post a finished picture later. Probably going to add these to my build thread.

Image

And my father in law went to work building our rock sliders. These are made from schedule 40 pipe, black iron. NO CHINESE METAL HERE.

Image

Slowly making progress, but more to do before TECORE. Plus we still have to finish up the Baja rack mod.

Also managed to get my CB tuned up which was way out of wack before hand. After dinner, I have to spend some time rewiring the roof lights.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

hahahaha

I'm pretty sure I've exhausted all my patience on that one.

rotated my tires, checked the torque on my spacers, cut off my old locking hitch pin, installed new hitch pin and recovery shackle. loomed all the wires on my winch and zip tied them since they were wearing on my grill, changed the air filter, started making a hi lift mount for the roof rack and started during things for TECORE. got a lot more to do tomorrow.

Checked on my front diff fluid, not much there to begin with, plus it was a milky brown color. Decided on changing it. While i was already in the mood, decided I'd check the rear fluid, too. This is what I found.

Gave it some loving and Lucas afterwards.

Speaking of the vent tube, where does it go??? I never looked when I pulled my old axle.

Proof I got the 8.6" installed. Stupid cell camera quality :wallbash:

@cable
Wats dat der squiggly thing running underneath your axle. My sway bar is disco'd, and i just need to remove it. There's a little difference, but not much. Something to look into. As far as I know, the vent tube attaches on top the pumpkin. I'd say just run it high enough so that it will be higher than the highest water you plan on encountering.
