Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I thought so, but was not sure since you had the links around so long.

I had to rebuild my MV-50 compressor... the reed valve in the head broke. For now I have a really temporary solution in there, but I don't expect it to work for long. I'm on the market for a Viair.

I took the TB to the shop that I chose for the lift, to check it out in person, and give them a chance to rust blast all the bolts they will be removing. I liked what I saw there, they all drive 4x4s of some sort, the manager's wife drives a lifted Envoy, so they have lots of experience with lifts. The manager did talk me into a new set of Bilstien HDs for the front, since my truck has 143,000 km (89,000 mi), so if the OEs are not worn out yet, they soon will be.

They put it on the hoist, blasted everything that needed it, and I'll be back there in 10 days or so for the install of Mark's 2.5" lift/level, Bilstien Hds in front, BDS in the rear, along with Z71s, and rear swaybar delete, and alignment.

Decided to break a spring last night when I needed to return to work in the evening. Getting that replaced today at the cost of parts due to working at a technical school. The joys of free student labor.

Got a pair taillight brush guards off ErikSS's friend AJ (Hotness) for $40 shipped. :) Installed the Roadie pioneered cable clamps to hold the fronts on.

I hope you like the guards more than I did. I got used to the look and liked it but....
The rear tail light got ripped off in the accident my truck had only because it had a guard on it. I've had them caught and bent back into the rear hatch in car washes. Overall they only ever did more damage to my vehicle and prevented none lol.

I second this question... I've never heard of a spring breaking

Well time will tell if they stay on.. Did you put the cable clamps up front?

i actually mounted them to the tail light with a screw from the backside of the light. it helped keep the guard tight to the light but that didn't help in the long run.

50-50 chance those are my old ones. He has a bunch of my old parts over the years. He just asked me about more the other day actually, but Hatchet may have gotten my guards....I know one of the two got them when I ditched them.

Kyles old tail light guards must have gone to Joe. (Hatchet) AJ says he got those ones on eBay.
