That looks like CRAP! J/K... It looks pretty good. It makes me want to get off my butt and get my grill and bug deflector painted.

Are those chrome shackles? If I recall, those don't carry the same load rating... do they even have a load rating stamped in them?

I carry spare silver ones rated higher than black ones hanging on my bumpers. Color doesn't matter...

Those are the gold/bronze colored 3/4" ones. They are stamped, just dont remember the rating.

Looks really nice, I like the dark bar, what kind of lights are those?
My shackles are rated for 13,000 lbs, got em for christmas from Staples of all places. They were originally orange and I painted em green. Wouldn't be hard to get em chromed if that's your thing.

In a fit of something Mikekey has decided to rip out the carpet and lower plastic molding in the cargo area up the the rear seats. Then he mentioned Harbor Freight and WalMart. So I have a feeling we'll have a rhino'd cargo area with some custom built storage before TECORE.

Got an idea today that I decided to start working on before TECORE comes up. I've been wanting to bed line the rear up to the passenger seats for awhile, so I ripped out the carpet. Weight savings is 12lbs believe it or not. Yes I stood on a scale. I'm also looking to offset weight. Thus why I ditch the rear seats on trips. I think we weighted them at around 108lbs.

Anywho, GM wasted a ton of space in the back with all their cheap plastic and nothing behind it. So I've had an idea to make fitted storage boxes on both sides of the rear compartment. I'm not an engineer like some of you awesome peeps, just a mild manner programer, so I made my concept out of used cardboard.

The plan is to be able to store a few tool boxes, recovery straps, first aid kit and other misc things that hopefully I won't be accessing to frequently, but that I want to keep in the truck regularly. And then coming up with a cross brace rack system that can go in and out of the truck.

Probably not the most technical explanation, but it's in my head!
