PCM tune set ups

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I thinking of finally getting the PCM tune for my birthday, I just wanted to know what set up everyone is running or prefer. Eco, towing, or performance. Right now I have the leveling kit, treadwright guard dogs, and 3.73 gearing. I do tow every now and then a motorcycle, double axle trailer with a f150, logs, and a zero turn.

I'm not sure of the individual levels you stated, as they weren't an "option" when I called them. However, I just got mine done and had it on both the 3.42s and 4.10s. I did 80% TM off, 93 octane, shift 2 and all the other little stuff. It's not noticeable; I didn't see any MPG or power gain. Stayed in OD a little more, but other than shifting, I didn't notice a difference. You'll find most people swear by it, and a few like me didn't notice a difference. YMMV.

I noticed a big power difference, no idea on mileage, all torque management and emissions turned off.

I also run 91 octane, a hollow cat, free flow muffler, header, and cone k&n filter.

Im 4500' elevation so 91 is the highest offered for our thin air.

I'm at 3500ft. I know how that feels. What does a tune like that run anyway?

Do you believe there is anything they aren't doing that pricier places like PCMofNC would do?

You low-landers... :poke: I'm at 4980 feet (officially for my town anyway) and I regularly drive up over 9000ft in the Summer. Unfortunately I didn't have enough experience with my truck before getting tuned to tell you if there was a noticeable difference at altitude. But for what its worth, I've never been able to tell any difference between 87-89-91 in my vehicle. I've tried throwing in 91 when I was towing a 5000# trailer up the mountain, and didn't feel any change. So I just stick with the cheap stuff.

I *think* the only difference in the towing option is that they leave in some of the torque management.

He can do anything that can be done via hptuners. I think mine was the first I6 that he did but I also have my camaro tuned by him.

Look up 150 tunes for life on pirate4x4. He has a huge following and got up to a 4 month back log on harnesses over the winter. I just sent in mine for the 3rd retune and got it right back.

Lol! We have a place in Ruidoso NM (7,000 ft) that we visit often and family down around Houston that we visit as well.

I'm out of shape, not sure that I could survive for very long at 9,000.

Most people don't realize that west Texas is at 3500, with how flat the land is around here, it's misleading.

How much of a difference did you feel with 80% torque management off?
