Okay Rock Sliders for $150 + shipping.

These will be made from 1.50" x .120 DOM tubing.
They can come in any length specified. And will have the right angle already fitted to give proper movement over the obstacle. Also they will come with the inner strengthening plates that will attach to the frame as well as some triangle gussets for more rigidity. You can PM me if you have any other questions and I will respond promptly. Thanks Neil at NEILAGE INC.

Do you have an address for pickup? IIRC you're in El Monte, right? I may take you up on this after the holidays.

Or I can pick them up and deliver to Borrego whenever we meet up out there. Surely we'll have more than one time a year to get together. Or shuttle them up to Irvine or someplace if you ever get that far south. Mrs. Roadie's Civic gets great mileage.

I can deliver as far as Bakersfield which is about $30 dollars for me to drive. So I' sure there is something we can get worked out. Thanks Roadie, I appreciate it.

Hell, if you can make it to Bakersfield, then it'll be no big deal to make it out here... it's actually a shorter drive than Bakersfield I think... I'm just on the coast up the 405 from you. We'll talk when I can get them though... I may just have you put them on down there if I can get out there... I'll make it a trip to take my girlfriend out to the SD zoo. :)

NICE! What would shipping be to NJ, 08527?

I'd really like a set like JD's...

If cheaper... we could arrange for a mass delivery for East Coasters... and we can then all meet up to distribute...

Seriously, custom built to order eliminates quite a few limitations. How about something to flow with the curvature of the rockers so we could get as close to the body as possible without cutting?

Guys... there's already someone offering that design here on the east coast. Granted he isn't a vendor here, but you may want to contact him before stealing his design.

Not talking about stealing ideas here. Something "sort of" like JDs aren't exactly like JDs. Hell, his are "sort of" like a lot of other sliders. I'm talking about something not inverted, so as to minimize the chances of being drawn in to any rocks we would encounter, with the longer tube under the rocker and curved vertically at the ends to fit the contour. If it can't be done that way, it can't be done. But the only way to find out is to bring it up. Now, I'll be all about letting a local vendor design and build these, but the point of this thread is to discuss with a member/vendor what the options are by using him....

I don't mean to discourage you guys from going with Neil. If he was around last year, I'd have looked into using him too.

My only concern is copying my guy's design exactly... I do realize that his asking price was a tad high though... and I certainly recommend trying out a site vendor!

Heck, once the Mrs finds a job around here, I'll be hitting Neil up for one of those nice gas tank skids!

BTW... Neil, do you offer powdercoating? I'm curious what you would charge, as my local guy seems a tad outrageous.

Depending on how much powedercoating your gonna be doing, you could buy the over and start doing it al yourself! I'm kinda thinking about opening up a small powercoating shop for wheels tires etc...

Tom, do you currently have the means to powdercoat? I have a couple of things I'd like coated...

I know it was just a mistake, but thinking of some punk kid coming in and wanting you to powdercoat his tires made me laugh.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.
