did you disconnect the negative battery terminal while you were cleaning it?

it seems odd in that little time you could get a good reference for MPG. to get a good reference you need at least one tank and better if you do multiple tanks.

So I was a bit premature saying it is fixed... My wife drives my rig 80% of the time and after riding with her the other day figured out she likes to stomp on it a bit. After a tank of gas it is still averaging around 12mpg.
The other thing is I cleaned my K&N and probably used too much of the oil. Going to run compressed air through it tomorrow and see if any excess comes out.
Currently the TB is a 2007 LT with stock tires (size), hogged out air box, K&N filter, just put on Mark's 1.5" spacers and the 3" suspension lift, Bilstein's in the front BDS rear. Still haven't looked at what gearing it has but will have that figured out tomorrow.

Very odd.
Are you going on dic or actually calculating when filling up?
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but they've always worked for me.
If you put too much oil on the filter it can spray back to the MAF and coat the wires that meter the air. You can clean the wires with a Q tip and some alcohol, just be gentle. to be honest I didn't see much of any gain in mileage, just a better idle and throttle response... as in the truck didn't occasionally die anymore. Are you figuring mileage by using the mileage and gas put in?
