191-193 seems low... a properly operating thermostat should be steady between 200 and 210 per scangauge. If you aren't reaching that, your tstat may be stuck open.

And no, not relevant to the SAI.

My trucks operating temp is 190.

IIRC 190 is our proper operating temp.

Time to chime in....

Yes I have on 05

Yes I bought the Airaid intake system

Yes the intake came with the optional hose hole drilled into the tube

NO my engine does NOT have the secondary air hose. Therefore I left the hole plugged as it came from the Airaid factory.

I also believe that ALEKG did not have the secondary air hose on his first TB (04 I believe)....but does have it on his new one (06).

Just learned I've thrown this code as well. My brain finally reminded me I had the dying cat noise for 20-30 sec after cold starts consistently for about a week or two a few months ago. Probably a bad air pump. Going to disconnect hoses and check for air flow as well as check fuses.

If I'm right I think I'll try heading to the salvage yard for a replacement. If I find water in the hoses I think I'll go ahead and replace the check valve too.

Can anyone tell me for sure if the code will clear itself or will I have to clear it manually (battery disco or w/ scan guage)? After reading 10 of the 61 pages on a thread on this on another site the posts were back and forth on this. Thanks.

If you fix the cause for the code, it takes 3-5 drive cycles for the light to go off. Battery disconnects don't usually clear codes, since everybody would cheat their emissions test if it was that easy.
