Wiring and warning light questions.

Something not working right?

Ok so after trying a bunch of things I resorted to a more drastic approach.

I tore apart the cluster and installed covers over the stock warning light leds. (ABS and BRAKE)

Added in a new bulb into the brake warning light spot.

Wired in new bulb to ign + at the cluster, and hooked the other side to the park brake applied signal wire (ground) at the BCM.

Now the truck still thinks the lights are on, but I cant see them. When Ign is on and brake applied my new light is on, if driven with brake on I still get the chime.

The only down fall, there is no key on bulb check with my new bulb.
