Steering Wheel shakes

Hey guys, I finished my truck this weekend finally, I put on my wheel adapters from MarkMc I have 17x9 Black Rhino Dune wheels and 265-70-17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. After I put everything on and drove it when I hit the brakes the steering wheel shakes and it's only when I hit the brakes otherwise its fine. I have the wheel adapters torqued to 95 with the shank lugs that mark sent and the wheels are torqued to 95 as well I also have hub rings, any ideas what might cause the shake when the brakes are on? I have a 2.5 inch lift and the wheels are 17x9 6-139.7-12

Sounds like warped rotors. Check your brakes.

Well first guess would be warped roter but that should have produced a shake even before the spacers. Second guess would be to double check the rim is fully seated onto the spacers I recently put a set of marks spacers on my rig and it certainly took some effort to get the rims seated fully, even after torquing them down properly I still had to go back and redue because the torque was not enough to fully seat the rim to spacer. When was the last alignment? Maybe putting on the spacers has made a previous problem more pronounced altho Im not 100% sure that would really be the case maybe someone with more experiance will chime in on that.

I do have to change the pads so I'll just throw in some new rotors but when I had the stock wheels on just before I switched there wasn't any shaking I really noticed, do you think it's because I put on much larger tires that the shaking came and I just couldn't feel it with the stocks on? I def need an alignment haven't had one for awhile

It's possible that with the added rotational mass that a problem you had before would be more evident now as your brakes and rotors are working harder to stop the vehicle however I still think there should have been some clues even before you switched to a larger size.

I'll change them this weekend and see, thinking back I did have a slight shake in wheel now that I remember, I was just hoping it wasn't/isn't something major with the spacers or wheels

No I think it's a rotor, that is basically the classic symptom. I don't expect it to go away with the other ones on but it may be less noticable. All the added weight is going to make it more noticable, I would say just replace the rotors with the pads and you should be good to go.

sometimes you can get them "turned" which will make them smooth and true again. Around here it is under $10 each. It might be worth it to have them turned, I don't recall how much our rotors are off the top of my head but it might save you some money. Also, I would hate for you to spend $100 on new rotors and that not be it.

I would go back and make sure the spacers are seating well. Make sure you removed the little clips(washers with teeth) on the wheel studs that hold the rotors on and make sure everything seats up again.

When you installed the spacers, did you remove the little cir clip from the stock wheel stud that helps to retain the brake rotor at the factory? The stock wheels have a recess for them, but the wheel spacers do not.

Yes the little clip things were not on there because I had replaced the rotors awhile back and took those off, I can get some rotors for under 100$ so I'll just throw some on and hope that solves the problem thanks for your help guys

Could the lug on the left which I'm using in the adapters possibly be causing the shake if not the rotors? or should I use the stock lugs on the right. The long shank lugs came with the adapters, just thought I'd see if anyone is using the stock lugs instead

No correct as in use the shank lugs. They were given to you because that is whats needed.
