Mounting Brackets for a Forester Offroad Prod. Grille Guard

Something not working right?

by Rabbitdave » Sun Sep 16, 2012 10:15 am

Ok...Stupid me...Picked up a no-name grille guard without the lower mounting brackets...Any idea how I can pick up just the mounting brackets? It does not seem that any of the grille guard manufactures sell just the brackets. Any help would be welcome......

Find or become a fabricator. PLENTY of little welding shops would love the business. If spending $30-50 is out of the question, then that's why you inspect stuff before you buy it. Where did you get the no-name, anyway?

$50 would be cheep and would be what I paid for the grille guard off Craigslist. I figured I could find the brackets, but I should have looked on the internet before I purchased. Now I just need to find a fabricator in Indy that would want the work. I don't want to become a fabricator. The welder would cost more than just buying a complete grille guard.

Just want to know if there was anywhere I could get the brackets without having the fabricated.

Thanks,

David

I've got a set of mounts/bolts from before I got my tubing bender, when I was welding the top half of brush guards onto my custom bumpers.

Take and post up a pic of what the bottom part looks like, and we'll see if they match close enough that you can just drill some holes...

Is it a grille guard for a Subaru Forester or is Forester Offroad Products the name of the company that made it?
If it is for a Forester I expect you will need custom mounts.
After a brief search, I can't find anything for Forester Offroad products so it looks like you will still need some custom mounts.
