Lift - UCA Ball joints

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Hello Everybody,

I am new to the site, have been reading though for months.

I am working on my 03 TB non EXT. I am planning on the following lift and parts and looking for feedback on past experiences. The intentions of the vehicle is daily driver/toad/off road. We don't go extreme off road but places that require clearance and 4WD including soft sand, creek crossings, and mud at times.

Front:
Bilstein 5100 struts - max lift setting
45H2164 springs (EXT 4x4)
MOOG CK80826 upper control arms with additional 2 degrees of camber
Swap/flip upper control arms.

Rear:
G80 complete diff from EXT
07 Z71 springs
Bilstein 5100 struts

I just finished welding and sandblasting the MDB front bumper, rad skid and oil skid. This is why I am going with the spring replacement. I have been looking at the UCS swap/flip thread and looks like the adjustable camper control arms may be a good thing. Also I want new ball joints and bushings, cost/time wise I am better off just replacing the entire arm. I still have to look into the wheel spacer thing as tires are going to be needed soon.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Only thing i think your forgetting is the upper ball joint is part of the knuckle not the upper control arm. You probably can skip the adjustable arms. Most people just flip arms and move on. And they are running way more lift then you will. Those struts only lift max of 2.25 i think and springs depending on what u have now will prob give you another half inch. Let me know how those shocks/ struts work out. I was thinking of doing same setup. Just keep in mind from what ive read and heard the z71 springs if you dont carry weight in the back are very rough.

I don't think those UCA will fit our trucks. For pickup not ours.

The upper ball joints are easy. I buy the lower with ball joints, cause those suck.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.
