I just saw some under $100 prices on the 9000xl adjustables with 2 3/4" body. 9-way adjustments. As anything, reviews seem mixed. I'm not sure I'd value the possible complexity of adjustability too much, since I don't see any reason to be fiddling and fine tuning mine for on/off road or the type of trails I'm on. It's not like it's a race truck.

All other things being equal, I'd rather reward the company who made the first serious lift for the platform (BDS) over a late-comer, although the late-comer does make a front non-adjustable shock for us and the Quicklift is innovative, if expensive and not for offroading.

Their catalog only lists the RSX non-adjustable in 0" lift for the trailblazer, but you could probably pick the equivalent Tahoe size in the 9000xl if you wanted to go that route.

yes, i have the part # somewhere. but was looking at getting the 9000xl 9 way adjustable tahoe shocks made fr no lift, and getting the skyjacker springs. but i need the check the measurments and see if i will need limiting straps if i go for the 9000xl shock for the taoe with a 2" lift.

the way i see it. no one else has tried this setuip. so ill be the gineapig and give it a shot. its just one more option, and one more review for everyone to think about.

my truck is a trailblazer, and i shall be one too :friday:

A quick question just to clarify I'm on the right track before I put this all stuff together...
I am about to put Mark's 3" susp lift in, with the Z71 springs and BDS 5251 rear shocks. Is that the suggested combo?

'06 LT EXT, and there will definitely be towing in it's future. :)

ain't nothin wrong with that combo. I'm a little more partial to the Fox/Bds versions myself, but the 5251s are a lil bit cheaper

Thanks, man. What is the Fox/BDS version? ...and what's the ride difference like between that and the 5251's?

Never had anything else. I've driven an envoy with hydraulic rear shocks, i didn't care for it. But then again it wasn't horrible.

Do more searches and read more. I posted an entire thread about the fox shocks. Read till the end.
