Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

how hard was it to do your lift? how long did it take you?

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Not sure if you are still looking for a shop in NoVa, but I had mine lifted at a shop in South Riding.

I provided shocks, struts, tires, wheel spacers and lift.

They did the lift install, installed the shocks and struts, mounted/balanced the tires (5 tires including the spare), and an alignment - all for just shy of $600.

OF course I was talking about my 10lb modified sledge (9 " handle) and pickle fork. :thumright:

On another note I am really mad the you joined the ORTB team and brought to light that I actually wont be the only lifted TB in NOVA :finger:

am I remembering right, that bolt in the lower control arm you have to take all the way out?
If I remember right, I loosened it up good and beat the heck out of it using a pickle fork as a spreader only to realize that the strut has a groove in it that the bolt fits in that holds it in place.

I didn't remove any bolts from the lower control arms when we did ours. I did remove the panhard bar. Well removed the lower bolt.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

If by Bridgestone you mean VA Tire and Auto, then yes, that is the place. Ryan is the guy I was working with. Is that your buddy?

Hehe! To be fair - I was thinking the same thing. :raspberry:

I have gotten quite a few dumb founded looks from some of the Jeepers that I have been riding with. Most of them have been cool, but I did get one guy who was too Jeep elitist to even talk to me. That is, until he needed air in his tires and I was the only one with a compressor!

Is what it is...

Yeah I know Ryan. I used to work with him at the VA tire in Centreville. I have another buddy that works there. Might even be his boss. He used to have a jeep islander but from what I've been told his driving an STI now. Dude goes through cars like its nothing haha

There is another guy who works there - don't remember his name - who is building a rock crawler from a mid-80's full size chevy truck frame. That guy is fascinating to talk to!
