They seem to have good ratings and for $40 each, it is not a bad investment. The tahoe application let's you specify 0-3" of lift or 4-6" of lift for the shock length. Aside from having to add shims on the bottom mounts, they look plug-n-play. I could not personally give you a reason not to try them, and I may actually consider these for myself.

I actually have the Skyjacker Nitro 8030s. The ride is pretty nice but, like I said in my initial write-up; I have nothing else to compare it to except the stock setup. You need to go to Lowes and pick up 20 - 7/16" washers to use as spacers to fill in each side of the bottom mount.

Maybe washer spacers on the front shock top mount. Not sure how it'd do with Mark's lift though. I think it's only been done on BDS and Rough Country lifts so far.

:hijack: Are you planning on losing the factory rear bumper? You won't clear it with 34's and 2" longer LCAs.

I have yet to rub in the rear with 35's on the standard length arms, and I have more down travel than most.

Mine's already trimmed but I will indeed be following chevycrew's lead and flipping the hitch and doing a sweet custom job on the rear. I just like the wheels to be centered in the arches. *perfectionist*

Please share, Who is tearing up cv's and needing limiting straps?

As others have said, this combo works well.

Kyle,

I will admit part of this post was a failing on my part to help one of our new members. The 'Limiting straps' statement was wrong and out of context to this question. I am sorry for the misdirection this may have caused.
Concerning the CV half shaft assemblies; This is a new member whom likely has not read this statement from the thread they should be reading rather then questioning in a post: "If you lift your vehicle too far, you could break something. Don't blame me because you didn't do the math yourself to make sure you are within a safe CV angle range." In my opinion to breach the articulation boundaries of this stock vehicles front suspension by a resting height of over 3 inches for someone who isn't well read on the subject would be disingenuous.
Compared to a year and a half ago the boundaries have pushed to the edge for the stock suspension by many members who understand what it is they are pushing. I like you and other members who have read every post on this site have a clearly different understanding of the limitations and capabilities of this platform.

Does anyone have part numbers for the 87 or 88 front springs and these are silverado springs correct?

there is a thread in the suspension section about the springs, part numbers and associated lift.

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=158

There is also a thread saying the 87's are on indefinite backorder from the factory.
These are not Silverado springs that I know of.

The information is already here, you just gotta find it. Spend some time reading the wealth of knowledge that is already documented before asking questions like that.

Sorry guys I seen the thread just wasnt putting 1 and 2 together. Everyone was referring to them by the last two numbers of the actual part number. I get it now thats where my confusion was.
