Please read the Stickied threads in this very forum for most of the data you're looking for.

viewforum.php?f=14

Welcome!

A LOT of great data can be found in the build threads as to what tires have been installed.

But seriously, if you NEED an MT tire for your offroad mission, just get them. Don't pussy around with AT that "looks like an MT". What's the purpose in that? To fool your non-offroading friends? Phooey. :finger:

Right before any future posts, you can do an automatic spell/intelligence check. After you type your paragraph and before you hit submit, hit Alt+F4. That way you won't sound stupid again.

Hi Nate, don't let these guys give you such a hard time. Being the offroad board we expect folks to be a little more self sufficient than some of the other boards. The motto is if you can't find info on a forum about how much lift etc you need for certain tire sizes then how will you figure out how to repair something that breaks on the trail.
Roadie gave you a link with a good bit to research.
Here are a few more.

Based on your OP, we don't know anything about your vehicle. Is it lifted, if so, what lift. What size rims are you planning to run? What are your plans? What is your mission?

Many of the folks here will volunteer to come over and help you if you show you have done your homework but they don't like to do a lot of spoon feeding.

C'mon now Nate, you're a grown man. At this point in life you've obviously done a bit of reading and researched a smidge... even if it was only how to tie a freakin tie. At the top of the forum there is a button that says search, use it liberally. Or just read the forum. Most sections of the forum have less than a dozen pages, but they are very tech dense. The odds are good you'll find someone that has had your problem.
If after a search you still have questions, feel free to ask, we're a helpful bunch. It's obvious if you've done some reading by the specificity of your question, so read a little!

You'll find a lot of answers end up being "it depends"... on your setup, what you expect out of the service life of a part, your tolerance for the negative aspects of a particular mod etc. The only way to get a feel for what it's going to be like is to read the experiences we've typed up to help people.

It should also be noted we appreciate punctuation and capitalization. It makes it easier for us all to understand and ultimately helps us help you. Not to mention it will be easier for people to search and find the helpful info/experience you've added to the board.

39.5x13.5 TSLs.

Pull the front fenders and tub the firewall on both sides. Weld the rear doors shut and then radius cut the rear fenders using the tire as a template.

These should fit with only "minor" trimming right?

Yes I have ran 42" swampers before, and regardless of how much I paid for the Nitto's, Im actually really impressed.

Soft tread compound that doesnt seem to wear fast, thick but flexible sidewalls, round (smooth on highway), are all things I like about them.

Really, If i didnt like the Nitto's I would put my MTRs back on.
