Ode to the TB

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

So this sunday my borther and I took out the TB for its first off road excursion. Didn't have my camera but took a nice avatar pic with my phone (please refrain from any "no pics, didnt happen", thats not the point of this post).

Reason for this post:

Wow the TB is an incredible vehicle. I have mine close to stock, yet it literally crawls through anything. I had it in 4low through this mutant muck that we have down here; it was no problem. The suspension held up great and didnt bottom out once. I might need some tires before I hit some more serious sections, maybe i'll set up a trip for anyone down in this area. Good job GM for this great 4x4!!!!!!!

:Iagree:
I am totally stock and have hit a few man made mud pits, sand dunes and trails, and a hill climb in which I beat out a 97 Jimmy, 96 Blazer and a jacked sidekick :viking: ! The EXT continues to impress, but I do need a lift...

I was impressed with it too. I had it about 2 weeks and took it on a jeep trail with the whole family inside and was floored it made it with no problems. I am in the mountains and the desert a lot and it has never failed to impress me. Even my father in law who is a die hard truck only guy told me how impressed he has been with my TB. We go out a few times a year camping with him and he said he was so impressed he has never had to pull me out of anything in the past 4 years. Coming from him thats a HUGE complement. :excited:

I just wanted to +1 the coolness of the TB. We've been out almost every week since we brought it home, and it amazes me every time with the combination of off road capability and crazy car style comfort. The soft ride is especially nice in the ultra rocky desert we enjoy in Arizona; trails that would loosen your fillings in my old scouts are taken so smoothly that you don't spill your soda pop in the drink-holder! I'm lovin' it, I'm liftin' it, and I'm getting taller tires that I can air down for that hovercraft feel. :drive: :thumright:
